Oblivion Oblivious, Bastion of Subcutaneous Piercings - Eric Sherwood

$300.00

In 2022, Eric Sherwood made two prints at Jackalope Editions in conjunction with his solo exhibition at the William King Museum. Both prints were inspired from original drawings - one very finished and the other in a mode of freestyle. His streamline practice usually doesn't start with anything and as he works, a story begins to come. He finds symbols or concepts, and they begin to play larger roles in the work. With "Subcutaneous Piercings," Sherwood found himself wanting to render his imagined zone or field in slicing cuts, lines that acted both as calligraphic, but also as cuts on flesh or tapestries. This limited edition lithograph is printed on Antique White Somerset Velvet Printmaking Paper and signed by the artist.

We offer free shipping with all of our prints. Each print is shipped flat and carefully packed in archival glassine paper between two sturdy pieces of masonite.
